If the company allows the driver to falsify the books, the trucking company is exposed to a much greater demand. Drug use is also heavily regulated. Truckers can only take prescription drugs if prescribed by a doctor familiar with the driver and their functions. Truck drivers must pass drug tests at the time of use and after any accident.
